We are excited to announce two premier SNEB Annual Conference sessions: the George M. Briggs Nutrition Science Symposium – Toward Sustainable Diets: Current Evidence and Future Challenges and the Bee Marks Communication Symposium – Toward Sustainable Diets: Communicating the Evidence, Addressing the Challenges.


Opening Keynote and George M. Briggs Nutrition Science Symposium – Toward Sustainable Diets: Current Evidence and Future Challenges

The George M. Briggs session is an annual program that highlights the latest science and research. This year, we are thrilled to present on the topic of Toward Sustainable Diets: Current Evidence and Future Challenges. Kate Clancy, PhD, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg; Gregory Miller, PhD, MACN, Dairy Management, Inc./National Dairy Council; and Michael W. Hamm, PhD, Michigan State University will lead the discussion on Sunday, July 22 at 8:30 am. This session is sponsored by the SNEB Foundation.


Bee Marks Communication Symposium – Toward Sustainable Diets: Communicating the Evidence, Addressing the Challenges

The Bee Marks Symposium highlights cutting-edge topics in communications and shows participants how to address them. Sponsored by the SNEB Foundation, this year’s session will focus on providing ways nutrition educators can translate the science of food sustainability into balanced, actionable and compelling initiatives that promote sustainable food decisions among the public. The session will be led by Jessica Fanzo, PhD, Johns Hopkins University and Alexandra Lewin-Zwerdling, PhD, MPA, International Food Information Council Foundation on Tuesday, July 24 at 9:00 am.


Conference Details:

The SNEB 51st Annual Conference begins with pre-conference activities and the opening reception on Saturday, July 21, with the opening keynote held on Sunday, July 22. The final conference session is on Tuesday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m. with post-conference activities to follow on Wednesday, July 25.
