McDonald’s extends its $5 meal deal through December as it finds this offer profitable. GLP-1 continues to remain in the news with a new study and some recommendations for food companies with regard to how they change in the era of weight loss drugs. And in H5N1 news…someone in Missouri contracted bird flu with no known contact with an infected animal. California is the 14th state to discover H5N1 on farms.

Experts weigh the risks of those attending fairs who come in close contact with many different animals. Milking barns and stages may have the greatest risk. Michigan and Minnesota used fake cows on a milking stage event and some states are requiring lactating dairy cows to be tested before fairs.
