What is SNEB?
The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) represents the unique professional interests of nutrition educators worldwide. SNEB is dedicated to promoting effective nutrition education and communication to support and improve healthful behaviors and has a vision of healthy communities through nutrition education and advocacy. Members of SNEB educate individuals, families, fellow professionals, and students, and influence policy makers about nutrition, food, and health.
Who Belongs to SNEB?
SNEB is an international community of professionals actively involved in nutrition education and health promotion. Their work takes place in colleges and universities, government agencies, cooperative extension, communications and public relations firms, the food industry, voluntary and service organizations and with other reliable places of nutrition and health education information.

Public Policy Updates
The primary purpose of SNEB’s Public Policy Program is to make recommendations on member identified priority public policy issues (e.g., Child Nutrition Reauthorization, School Nutrition, and Improved Nutrition and Physical Activity) to Congress, the White House and government agencies. Members receive a weekly policy update email.
Networking Opportunities

Publications
The Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior: JNEB is the official publication of the Society. Issued monthly, this peer-reviewed scientific periodical offers cutting-edge research articles and reports, contrasting viewpoints on hot topics, creative program ideas, and professional reviews of recently released materials for nutrition educators. A subscription to the Journal is included with SNEB membership. The Journal is also indexed in MedLine, PsychINFO and other major databases.
SNEB eCommunicator: SNEB’s online newsletter covers new hot topics in nutrition education and public policy issues, while keeping you abreast of SNEB activities.
Professional Development

Continuing Education
SNEB Annual Conference: Network each year during the SNEB Annual Conference and receive discounted member registration rates. The SNEB Annual Conference is an excellent event for nutrition educators and researchers and offers access to the latest developments in food, nutrition, and education. The SNEB Annual Conference provides a forum for discussion and debate of diverse issues and interests and is becoming increasingly global in scope. The meeting, which is generally held in July, provides attendees with new research, creative ideas, and practical techniques applicable in many settings. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the SNEB Annual Conference while earning continuing education credits and advancing your knowledge and skills. SNEB Annual Conference is typically approved for 30 CEUs.
SNEB Webinars: Webinars are becoming an increasingly popular way for members to obtain continuing education credits without ever leaving their office. These events are typically free for members and are offered on a variety of topics. You can earn more than 30 CEUs during the course of the year
Member Only Forms
SNEEZE is the official listserv of SNEB. This online forum allows members and the SNEB leadership to share information on SNEB and nutrition topics. It is popular among members as a way to keep abreast of what nutrition professionals and public policy leaders are thinking, get answers to research and other work related questions, find resources, network with other nutrition professionals, obtain information about job opportunities, receive public policy updates, and feel connected to the SNEB membership.
Divisions
Divisions represent the special, focused interests of members and provide critical networking and educational opportunities for members. The specialized knowledge and opportunities can be seen in action through education sessions at the Annual Conference as well as throughout the year via SNEB’s webinar program. All members can join as many Divisions as they choose for free.
