A soft drink vending machine at the checkout of a shoe store? My first thought when I saw this 8 years ago: Why? (One in the back for employees made more sense.) In the years since, food availability and convenience, good and bad, has skyrocketed. Add to that, food companies that shape our food behaviors in ways we are unaware of.
