SNEB has been hard at work developing a Nutrition Education Competency Certificate program to provide training for students, medical professionals, paraprofessionals, and others who provide nutrition education as a part of their job. It is important to the credibility of our profession and the health of individuals, families, and communities that those who are in these roles obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver sound, evidence-based, and effective nutrition education.
In these challenging times, while Food is Medicine is promoted more than ever, resources for nutrition education have been reduced or even eliminated. The SNEB Competency Certificate program can offer a clear, credible pathway for those needing to deliver evidence-based nutrition education.
This certificate program has another important role— it can provide SNEB with the fiscal growth necessary to survive and to thrive for years to come! SNEB has devoted years to developing the Nutrition Education Competency Certificate and is now close to launching this important program, which will be a strong fiscal resource for the organization.
